Thanks to the ongoing generosity and support of its donors and the Arthritis Society鈥檚 firm commitment to supporting the most competitive arthritis research in Canada, the values of the following programs have been increased.

Strategic Operating Grants

Now: $150,000/year x 3 years

PhD Salary Awards

Now: $35,000/year x 3 years
(inclusive of matched funding)

Following an enthusiastic launch last year, the Society is pleased to offer the program again. The program aims to support high-risk ideas with potential high-rewards to generate novel approaches to defeating arthritis and deliver the best evidence-informed care possible.

Finally, the Society is thrilled to announce a renewed partnership with in the Stars Career Development Award program that will enable the Society to offer a mid-career (in addition to an early-career) category.
