The SSHRC Leaders network is an external body that provides an ongoing channel of communication and engagement between postsecondary institutions in Canada and SSHRC, and facilitates the sharing of information among institutions. The communication between SSHRC Leaders and SSHRC feeds into the development of SSHRC policies and programs, and addresses other items of interest to the social sciences and humanities research community.

The SSHRC Leaders network meets twice a year, with an annual meeting in late fall and a briefer meeting in late spring. .
