Updated October 18 - Due to the impacts Hurricane Fiona has had on researchers and postsecondary institutions in Atlantic Canada, NSERC has extended the deadline until November 7 at 6pm AST for Discovery Grants 

The Discovery Grants program supports ongoing research programs (with long-term objectives, as opposed to a research project defined by short-to-medium-term objectives) in the natural sciences and engineering fields, for up to five years.
