鈥淚MAGES OF MY VILLAGE鈥 CELEBRATION OF CREATIVITY DAY IN GREAT VILLAGE, 18 May 2013
On Saturday, 18 May 2013, the Elizabeth Bishop Society of Nova Scotia will host a 鈥淐elebration of Creativity Day鈥 at the Great Village School gymnasium. The day will begin with morning workshops (9:30 to 11:30 a.m.) for Grades 3-6 and Grades 7-9 with award-winning illustrators and authors Susan Tooke and Richard Rudnicki (spaces are limited).
Afternoon festivities kick off at 12:30 p.m. The Elizabeth Bishop Society of Nova Scotia will unveil a permanent banner for Great Village with artwork done by a local young artist and will launch a virtual website of art work by 200 young people in Colchester County ().
After celebratory cake and ice cream, Colchester County fitness instructor Celeste Chesal will get everyone dancing with 鈥淢usic and Motion.鈥 There will also be face painting with Halifax writer and artist Susan Kerslake. Susan Tooke and Richard Rudnicki will be in attendance with their books, which will be for sale. They will do a book signing.
This Celebration Day is part of the Elizabeth Bishop Centenary Legacy programme of the Elizabeth Bishop Society of Nova Scotia.
