Job Summary:
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Faculty of Agriculture is seeking three summer students to work in PEl as part of field research conducted at the Greenhouse Gas Lab. Summer positions will be based out of Charlottetown, but field locations will be across PEl. The summer term position  will last from May to end of August 2019.
Roles and responsibilities:
Coordinating greenhouse gas sampling within agricultural fields throughout the summer as part of a field research team
Collect, organize, and prepare soil and gas samples on a daily basis
Collect weather data in field on a daily basis
Maintain sampling schedule throughout summer, and ship samples to laboratory for analysis
Organize and manage samples on a daily basis, and maintain  collection records
Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid driver's  license
- Current student  enrolled  in a Bachelor of Science Degree program, or those who are interested in scientific field research are recommended to apply
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are an asset
-Ability to work with other members in a team setting
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Interest in gaining valuable field research experience
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in inclement weather and/or weather  extremes during fieldwork
Aspects of the job include moderate  walking/labor within field. Work approximately 37.5 hrs/wk, Monday  to Friday
