Equipment Operator

At Devonian Coast Wineries, we believe that making the best wines involves teamwork. We need you to help us make a difference. We are looking for the right individual to join our core Vineyard Team, working between our two Annapolis Valley locations
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Maintenance and repair of vineyard equipment and buildings
* Equipment operation (tractors, forklift, ATV, farm truck)
* OHS compliance at both sites and member of the OHS team
* Vineyard tasks as required (pulling wood, tying, planting, suckering, tucking, harvesting)
* Trellis maintenance *Snow removal at both sites
* Perform other duties as required
Skills required:
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Welding
* Basic construction, electrical, plumbing & heating skills
* Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch for long periods
* Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
* Ability to follow established procedure
* Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures
* Reading/writing
* Numeracy
* Manual dexterity * Record keeping and organization
Qualifications:
* Class 5 driver license with clean driver’s abstract
* Forklift license
* Tractor & farm equipment operation
* First Aid
* Whmis
* Pesticide Applicator license an asset
Additional details:
* Rate of Pay: To commensurate with experience
* Hours: 42.5-60+ (harvest) hours per week, Monday through Friday except during Harvest, as weather and work permit.
* Terms: Permanent, full-time, year round
* Start date: as soon as possible
* Training provided
* Reliable transportation required
