The emergence of intimate space as a field of studies has brought together in the last decades the interest of psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, historians, geographers, urbanists, philosophers, linguists - and even novelists, musicians, biologists and designers - around a sphere as socially important as evasive to grasp.
