Dr. Ruth Martin-Misener (Director, School of Nursing) and Dr. Tanya Packer (Director, School of Health Administration) were recently invited to present their work with primary care at the Nova Scotia Health Authority鈥檚 Annual General Meeting in Truro. Drs. Martin-Misener and Packer are working in collaboration with the Primary Care and Chronic Disease Portfolio at NHSA.

PhD candidate Keisha Jefferies' research is focussed on understanding the perspectives and experiences of African Nova Scotia nurses who practice in the Canadian health care system. "I am interested in understanding and describing how intersections, or the socially constructed concepts of race, class and gender, impact their ability to practice nursing leadership."

Will Creene (BHSc鈥16 鈥 Radiological Technology) grew up in Bristol, England and moved to NS with his family in 2010. After completing a year of science at 麻豆传媒 he knew he wanted to work in healthcare and being a tech-minded person he decided to enter the Radiological Technology program, which seemed like a natural fit.
