Hello! My name is Weiyi Li, and I am currently a PhD candidate in Economics at Dal, specializing in the field of health economics. My academic journey has been driven by a deep interest in understanding policies related to the middle-aged and elder population in China, starting with health insurance. My current research delves into examining the health and labor outcome inequalities between individuals covered by different types of health insurance. I am also interested in the pension system and long-term care polices in China. I hope my research can contribute to creating a better life for the elderly in China in the future.

In life, I love sports and nature. I enjoy cycling, snowboarding, hiking, basketball and pickleball. My recent favorite exercise is yoga, which helps me relax, become more focused, and explore the depths of my whole self.
