Research Interests
My research interests focus on the development of three aspects of self-control, namely, cognitive control, behavioural control, and emotion regulation. I am interested in how language contributes to their development, what interventions improve them, and what consequences they have for other psychological and life outcomes. My work uses multiple methods with typically developing preschool and school-aged children, as well as adults and dogs. I do both cross-sectional experimental research and large-scale longitudinal research.
