Information without borders

Technology, information and global poverty. A one-day conference organized by students of the School of Information Management will examine the links between these and other topics in a one-day conference entitled Information Without Borders: Leadership in an Information-Rich Society.

Conference speakers will discuss access to information, privacy, information enterprise, knowledge-building, and leadership in general. The event takes place on Saturday, March 3 in the Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building.

Dr. Amir Attaran (associate professor at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law and Canadian Research Chair for the Institute of Population Health) will deliver the opening keynote address "Prometheus Shrugged: The Technology and Information Enterprise and the Persistence of Global Poverty."

Dr. Elizabeth Kelley from the School of Business Administration will  close the conference with the inaugural Â鶹´«Ã½-Horrocks Leadership Lecture (in honour of Dr. Norman Horrocks).
