Management entrepreneurship and computer science came together at 麻豆传媒 for Tayze MacKenzie, who is graduating with an MBA.

Originally from Truro, Tayze had a computer science background and a mind for business. 麻豆传媒 presented opportunities for him to combine these interests and the result earned national honours for Tayze along with three other Dal students. The team took first prize in the Business Development Bank of Canada脮s Enterprize 2007 Business Plan competition, the most lucrative academic business planning competition in Canada.

The group, entitled Divisio Technologies Inc, won $75,000. They qualify for a $250,000 loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada if they decide to put their plan into action.

He also was part of a team that won the prestigious IBK Capital脨Ivey Business Plan Competition at the University of Western Ontario. With this win came the invitation to be the Canadian representative in the Global MOOT Corp Business Plan Competition, considered the most prestigious in the world at the University of Texas (Austin).

His future plans include starting a company, and continuing to do work for the Centre for Management Informatics.
