Are you up for conquering the world?
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Faculty of Management is hosting Halifax鈥檚 largest game of Risk on Monday, Sept. 17 on the Studley campus quad. Students are invited to sign up and play.
Game play聽starts around 9 a.m. with a large knockout round. The number of players is whittled down from around 300 to just a few throughout the morning.
Not only do winners get to take over the world, they can win big money. Students can win $5,000 towards the cost of tuition.
鈥淚t involves a lot of strategy and planning ahead and constantly keeping your eye on the competition,鈥� says Krista McLellan, a third-year commerce student who helped organize the Risk tourney. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a pretty good metaphor for what we鈥檙e learning about,鈥�
