First-year guard Patricia McNeil was the top performer in the Tigers 48-58 loss to the Carleton Ravens in exhibition women’s basketball play. The Halifax native scored 15 points and had three assists and three rebounds in her first home game as a Tiger. Patricia is enrolled in the Kinesiology program. The Tigers host their annual Subway Tournament October 16-18 featuring both AUS and OUA teams.
Francois Gauthier, hockey
Tigers forward Francois Gauthier led the scoring in a tough 4-10 loss to the Tommies in AUS exhibition play at St. Thomas. Gauthier scored two of the Tigers four goals. The fourth-year engineering student from Rimouski, Que. is already performing like a solid veteran, playing on both power play and penalty killing lines in his first year with the Tigers. A veteran of the QMJHL, Mr. Gauthier played with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Saint John Seadogs and the Val-D’Or Foreurs during his QMJHL career.
