Second-year outside hitter Lauren Schinkel led the Tigers to two straight wins this weekend and been selected as 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Female Athlete of the Week.

Ms. Schinkel recorded 20 kills, 20 digs, four service aces and two stuff blocks over the weekend as the Tigers defeated the Memorial University Sea-Hawks on Friday 3-1 and on Saturday 3-0. The science student from Oak Bluff, Manitoba was named the Subway Player of the Game for her efforts on Saturday.

Sander Ratsep, volleyball

Fourth-year outside hitter Sander Ratsep led his team as the Tigers swept the Memorial University Sea-Hawks 3-0 both Friday and Saturday. He was named the Subway Player of the Game both days as he collected 31 kills, 7 blocks, four service aces and 11 digs over the course of the weekend.

The 2008-09 AUS MVP and CIS first team all-Canadian is an Economics major from London, Ont. and was a member of the 2009 World Universiade and Team Ontario silver medal winning men鈥檚 volleyball teams.
