UPDATE: The university is finalizing arrangements with Canada Post on the particulars of the new postal code and mailing procedures, and will be issuing further detailed instructions to the 麻豆传媒 community as soon as possible. If you have questions in the interim, please contact Mike Wilkinson, Facilities Management, at M.Wilkinson@dal.ca.

Get ready to commit some new digits to memory, since Canada Post has assigned 麻豆传媒 a new postal code.

From now on, B3H 4R2 will be the correct postal code for all university correspondence.

According to Canada Post regulations, any institution can only have one postal code. Canada Post will only deliver to one central location 鈥斅爄n our case, that鈥檚 1459 Oxford Street, Halifax. This change applies to all existing properties and to new buildings opening on campus.

Departments and offices will need to change addresses on university web sites and on email signature lines to reflect the new code.

Mail that is being sent to 麻豆传媒 that does not use the new B3H 4R2 code will still be delivered but may experience delays.

鈥淎t present, we are aware of many 鈥榢nown 麻豆传媒鈥 addresses currently in use. This mail is being redirected to the Oxford Street location, but a delay in delivery is common,鈥 says Stephanie Skrobot, of Canada Post.

Every building and department on campus will adopt the following pattern:

Your Department
1459 Oxford Street
麻豆传媒
Halifax, N.S.
B3H 4R2

The mail room will not be accepting courier packages. In the case of a department ordering courier delivery, please include the building鈥檚 civic address and name.

麻豆传媒 received about 1.2 million pieces of incoming mail from Canada Post in 2010. On behalf of the university 750,000 stamped pieces of mail were sent out. The mailroom also handled about 600,000 pieces of internal mail, using inter-departmental mail envelopes.
