Kristy McGregor-Bales, Soccer
Fifth-year soccer defender Kristy McGregor-Bales is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Kristy got her first goal of the season in Sunday’s 4-0 win over the UdeM Aigles Bleues in the first half. She added a second goal to solidify the win for the Tigers in the second half.
She was also an integral part of the Tigers 0-0 tie with UNB on Saturday, keeping the Varsity Reds’ offence at bay.
A recreation management student, Kristy is from Ottawa, O.N.

Matt McNeil, Cross Country
Fifth-year runner Matt McNeil is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Matt won the men’s 10km race at the Vic Matthews Open at the University of Guelph in a time of 31:52 this past Saturday. He finished 20 seconds ahead of the field that included former CIS champions, first team All-Canadians and a Pan Am Games finalist.
His win helped the Tigers a fourth place team finish at the event.
A native of Saint John, N.B., Matt is an engineering student.
