(Halifax, N.S.) Â鶹´«Ã½ presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 25, 2015.

Sarah Robichaud, Hockey

Fifth-year forward Sarah Robichaud is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.

Sarah had a five-point week, scoring three goals and two assists in two games.

In Saturday’s 5-3 victory over the Mount Allison Mounties, Sarah had a hat trick, an assist in the game. Down 1-0 in the second, Sarah opened up the scoring for the Tigers early in the second period and got an assist on the Tigers second goal, giving the Tigers a 2-1 lead midway through the second. She got her second of the night in the last few minutes of the period, giving the Tigers a 4-3 lead heading into the third.

Her third of the night, a short-handed goal, came after she picked off a Mounties pass, giving the Tigers a two-goal cushion early in the third.

In addition to her four-point performance on Saturday, Sarah had an assist in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the Huskies.

The Weymouth, N.S. native is a sociology/French student.

Tanner Williams, Hockey

Second-year forward Tanner Williams is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.

Tanner scored three goals in two games over the past week.

In the Tigers regular season home opener on Wednesday, Tanner scored the first goal of the game, his first of the season, in their 4-3 shootout victory over the CIS No. 6 ranked Acadia Axemen.

On Saturday, Tanner got the Tigers second goal of the game at the end of the first period on a power-play to even the game 2-2 heading into the first intermission.

After StFX scored two unanswered goals in the second, Tanner notched the Tigers second goal of the third, tying it up with just over four minutes left in regulation, sending the game into OT.

He was a +2 and went 54% in the face-off circle for the week.

A native of Iroquois, O.N., Tanner is a kinesiology student.
