More than 60 researchers from 麻豆传媒 are receiving a combined $1.7 million from the Government of Canada for projects that will play an important role in building a healthier, stronger and more prosperous Canada.
The funding is being awarded through grants from the (SSHRC), one of the three federal granting councils responsible for supporting the researchers and scholars who are strengthening science and evidence-based decision making, while nurturing a culture of curiosity in Canada.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, January 30 at Queen鈥檚 University by the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport. The total investment being made by the government is $141 million, which will support nearly 3,000 of Canada鈥檚 most talented scholars, including early-career researchers, across the country.
The researchers receiving funding will tackle a wide array of topics, including: youth priorities in the North, climate change, energy, big data, and many pressing issues.
