Work Assignment:
A Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from
January - April, 2013.
Commerce 2401 - Introduction to Marketing
Requirements:
An MBA degree and prior experience teaching Introduction to Marketing is required. The applicant must run a computer-based marketing simulation and thus show evidence of effective use of web-based technologies in the classroom. Preference will be given to those with recent experience using “MarketShare” Marketing simulation. The successful applicant must also have demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter and an established record of effective teaching experience in marketing. The successful candidate must also be able to meet the School's accrediting body (AACSB) academic qualification requirements or professional qualification requirements.
Duties included, but are not limited to:
The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.
The part-time academic should be available for two hours per week for consultation with students. The part-time academic reports to the Director of the Department.
