POSITION: Laboratory Instructor (Demonstrator)
DEPARTMENT / LOCATION: School of Physiotherapy
SALARY / PAY RATE: As per CUPE
WORK ASSIGNMENT: PHYT 5103 Movement and Exercise Science (January – April 2013)
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The laboratory demonstrator/instructor will assist the course professor by teaching physical assessment, documentation, and treatment practical skills and techniques in the laboratory component of this module for Year I MSc PT students. The laboratory instructor will also act as an examiner in final practical exams and evaluate the students' performance throughout the course and in these exams. Some additional hours may be required for preparation time and limited meeting time with the professor.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must be licensed Physiotherapists. A Master’s degree with a research focus in human movement science is preferred along with strong clinical expertise in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
