The University of King’s College invites applications for a one-year sessional position in Modern Cultural/Intellectual History at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing 1 July 2013. The successful candidate will teach in two interdisciplinary combined honours programmes offered jointly by the University of King’s College and Â鶹´«Ã½: the Early Modern Studies Programme (EMSP), which is devoted to the study of European thought and culture from the 16th to early 19th centuries; and the Contemporary Studies Programme (CSP), which is devoted to the study of the thought and culture of the Contemporary Period, from the 19th century to the present.The successful candidate will teach two EMSP classes, Witchcraft in Early Modern Europe and The Vampire, and in addition, two half-credit electives in each of EMSP and CSP; please consult the Calendar entries for both programmes on the King’s website (www.ukings.ca) for a list of possible classes.Experience in interdisciplinary teaching or research would be an asset.
