POSITION: Part-time Academic                                                                 Â
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:Â Department of History
PAY RATE:Â As per Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for History 3551.03E, a third-year class conducted in the 2013 Summer Session, June 3-21, 2013, which explores Topics in Modern History (Summer 2013 Topic: Body of Evidence: The History of Forensic Science and Medicine). Class is currently scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 18:05-20:25. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme. E xperience teaching undergraduate courses in the history of science and medicine is essential, and preference will be given to those whose teaching experience has focused on the history of forensics. Interested parties are asked to apply by hand-delivered letter or FAX (supported with a C.V.) to the following:

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for History 3501.03G, a third-year class conducted in the 2013 Summer Session, July 25- August 16, 2013, which explores Topics in Global History (Summer 2013 Topic: Alcohol in the Atlantic World). Class is currently scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:35-11:55. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme. Previous experience teaching at an advanced undergraduate level in the history of the Atlantic World is required, and preference will be given to those candidates whose teaching experience includes a focus on alcohol in the Atlantic World.  Interested parties are asked to apply by hand-delivered letter or FAX (supported with a C.V.) to the following:
