The Advising and Access Services Centre (AASC) at Â鶹´«Ã½ works to support students with advising, accessibility and accommodation needs. At AASC, students may receive exam and/or classroom accommodations based on a disability, religious obligation, or any barrier related to any other characteristic protected under the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act. For exams specifically, the invigilation of exams occurs at the Mark A. Hill Centre. For each student, a specific accommodation plan is put into action to minimize any barriers they might face in their academic success. The Exam Operations Assistant works closely with the Exam Coordinator to ensure exam operations and procedures are being followed. In their supervisor role, the Exam Operations Assistant is responsible for developing the schedule for student employees, develop payroll profiles and chair meetings for Lead Proctor team. The Exam Operations Assistant oversees the logistics of training for new Proctors/! Readers/Scribes as well as new Lead Proctors. The Exam Operations Assistant must be well versed in all areas of exam operations and must follow up and address issues that arise around Academic Integrity and adhere strictly to the University’s academic regulations and procedures regarding exams. The position requires a commitment of 15 hours/week, but more hours will be negotiated and discussed during peak exam periods.
