WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching NURS 5893.03 – Health Program Planning and Evaluation during the Summer Term, 2014. Responsibilities include delivery of course content, holding office hours, and the evaluation of the students.

The course is designed to focus on the theoretical and practical knowledge and abilities required for the cycle of health program planning and evaluation (HPPE) in contemporary health care. Students will build their own theoretical knowledge related to program planning approaches, evaluation models, theories and methods of data collection. Knowledge translation will be discussed, analyzed and critiqued including the contextual influences in program planning and evaluation such as ethics, politics, evaluator roles and stakeholder involvement. Prior knowledge of research methods will be beneficial.

Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays 9:30 – 12:30 hours, from May 5 – June 20, 2014. The Part-Time Academic reports directly to Dr. Marilyn Macdonald, Associate Director Graduate Studies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Candidates must hold a graduate degree in nursing, or related field, with relevant expertise and teaching experience.
