There will be a morning training event for Allies and those interested in becoming Allies on January 28 from 9 a.m. to noon in the meeting room at Risley Hall. It will be designed to be more than an introductory session on lgbtq issues, and the leaders will encourage us to move toward being more active in the work of being Allies.

At noon until 1 p.m., at the same location, there will be a meeting of all Allies and others interested on such themes as the danger of simplistic categorizations of people by identity and orientation, the concept of fluidity, the importance of respect and acceptance and maintaining privacy, the policing of identities, questioning levels of acceptance within the lgbtq community, etc. Come and join in the conversation. There is no need to preregister.
