Â鶹´«Ã½ students Jillian Withers, Kevin Conrad, Megan Wiggins, and Shawn Aucoin brought home various awards from the Institute of Industrial Engineers conference in Toronto this past week.
These four students placed first in the theoretical exam and Kevin Conrad placed first in the Technical Paper which was based upon his efforts during his work term with CDHA (the Capital District Health Authority). Finally, the Â鶹´«Ã½ delegation also won the coveted "Golden I" trophy for strong placement in the competitions, participation, and spirit.

Congratulations to fourth year aquaculture students Stephanie Hall and Yangfan Zhang who were selected in a competitive process to be two of four students that were chosen to present their research projects at the Sea Farmers Conference 2014 in Halifax on January 30th. Of the four students who presented their research projects, Yangfan Zhang was selected by a panel of judges as the winner of the best student presentation and the Cathy Enright scholarship ($1000). This is the third year in a row that a Â鶹´«Ã½ Aquaculture student has taken top prize in this graduate and undergraduate student competition. Congratulations to Stephanie and Yangfan for being such excellent ambassadors of our aquaculture program. Thanks to Eel Lake Oysters and Scotian Halibut who were partners with Stephanie and Yangfan in their research projects.
