Work Assignment:
INFO 6810 – Managing Information Literacy Instruction
The part-time academic will teach the elective Managing Information Literacy Instruction (INFO 6810) in the MLIS program during the 2014 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2014.
Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree and significant employment experience in Information Literacy. Prior teaching experience in this area or a cognate area will be an asset.
The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available.

The Sessional Instructor will teach the elective Information Management Resources course (INFO 6560) in the MLIS program during the 2014 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2014.

MLIS degree and significant employment experience in Collections Management. Prior teaching experience will be an asset and some research experience in this area or a cognate area will be helpful.

The Sessional Instructor will teach the elective Archives course (INFO 6800) in the MLIS program during the 2015 Winter term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, January – April, 2015
Graduate in LIS, Archives or cognate discipline and significant employment experience in an archival setting. Prior teaching experience will be an asset and some research experience in Archival Studies or a cognate area will be helpful.
The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available.
