The green roof isn鈥檛 quite green yet, but the paint has dried and students have moved into the newest residence at 麻豆传媒.

LeMarchant Place, a new 165,000-square-foot building at the corner of South and LeMarchant streets, officially opened its doors on Thursday.

The seven-storey structure has 143 residential units, accommodates 326 students and also houses various student services, including an international centre, a health clinic and counselling offices.

鈥淚t鈥檚 marvellous, particularly the views of Wickwire Field,鈥� said 麻豆传媒 president Richard Florizone during the opening.

鈥淔or those of you who aren鈥檛 students, I鈥檒l tell you, it鈥檒l make you want to be a student again.

鈥淭he goal of the building is really about weaving together all the strands of Dal student experience to better support our students and make them more successful.鈥�
