POSITION: Part-time Academic: Environmental Ecology (Biology 3060); January 1, to April 30, 2015

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology

PAY RATE: $4,565.50-$5,583.00

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor is responsible for lectures and coordinating tutorials; assisting students on an individual basis; general administration of the classes (handling student issues, submitting grades, etc.); invigilating tests and examinations. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicants will have an advanced degree in biology. Previous, recent teaching experience (classroom and or laboratory) in the related discipline would be a definite asset. First time applicants must provide the names of two referees.

POSITION: Part-time Academic (1/3); Principles of Biology Part II (Biology 1011); March 1, through April 30, 2015.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology

PAY RATE: $4,565.50 to $5,583.00 (to be prorated)

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The sessional instructor is responsible for approximately 1/3 of the lectures (the majority of the lectures will be during March) with emphasis on animal physiology, assisting students on an individual basis, general administration of the classes (handling student issues, submitting grades, etc.) and invigilating tests and examinations. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: All applicants for this position will have an advanced degree in biology. Previous, recent teaching experience in the related discipline and demonstrated ability to lecture to a large class (500+) of undergraduate students would be a definite asset. First time applicants must provide the names of two referees.
