Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President (Human Resources), the Director, Talent Management is accountable to develop and oversee the delivery of integrated HR practices and processes to attract, develop, and retain the best and brightest people. In alignment with Inspiration and Impact: Â鶹´«Ã½ Strategic Direction, the Director will advance human resource strategies and plans to support current and emerging practices in areas of diversity and inclusion, engagement, recruitment and retention, career development, performance development, organizational effectiveness, and wellness.
The Director will provide counsel and advice to university leaders to support positive workplaces through talent management strategies. The Director will also provide leadership on the integration of talent management practices within Human Resources and will act as a consultant to Faculties and departments in aligning their talent management practices to achieve their goals.
The Director is the leader of an integrated team of professionals who provide support across a number of HR specializations, with an emphasis on people.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an Undergraduate degree or a Master’s Degree along with training in Human Resources or a relevant discipline. Related designation/certification (e.g. CHRP) is considered an asset. Significant related, progressive experience with demonstrated leadership ability across teams in a large, complex and decentralized environment is required. A deep understanding of diversity and inclusion with exceptional communication skills along with a creative and innovative approach to work.

Salary Range:Â $85,264-115,398 per annum (ADM-09) (This is a provisional classification. Formal classification procedures will be initiated by the Compensation & Job Evaluation Unit in approximately six months.)
