Pay day is one of everyone’s favorite days of the month but what happens if you don’t get paid on time? It’s something that many of us don’t think about until it happens and National Payroll Week is trying to change that.
Here at 鶹ý, there are 11 members of the Payroll & Benefits Teams who are working to ensure we all get paid on time. In 2014, the team paid $382 million in wages and taxable benefits (total payroll) to more than 6000 university employees.
“National Payroll Week is a great way for payroll professionals to be recognized for all their effort and dedication to ensure your paycheque is received on payday” says Jenny White, Manager, Payroll & Benefits. “
“The dedicated Payroll and Benefits staff at 鶹ý have over 150 years combined experience making sure 鶹ý Employees are paid each and every payday”.
This week, take the time to say hello to a payroll staff member or thank them for all their hard-work that they do for you and the university behind the scenes. The Payroll & Benefits Office, a part of the Human Resources team, is located in Room 150, Henry Hicks Academic & Administration Building.
