Symposium: Emergent trends in research with vulnerable young people

Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Children and Youth in Challenging Contexts (CYCC) Institute and the Atlantic Health Promotion Research Centre are co-hosting a symposium on emerging trends in research with vulnerable young people. Participants will have a chance to participate in workshops that explore leading edge ideas for new research and innovative qualitative and quantitative methodologies that successful scholars are using. Confirmed speakers include:
Dr. Deborah Stienstra, Julianne Acker Verner & Susan Manning, Dr. Brandi Bell, Dr. Christine Chambers, Lisa Lachance, Dr. Sophie Jacques, Dr. Michael Ungar, Dr. Sherry Stewart, Dr. Sara Kirk, and Dr. Jacqueline Gahagan. More are to be expected.
An Academic Dragon’s Den
After a day of workshops, emerging scholars and graduate students will have a chance to propose new research ideas to a panel of experts who will provide feedback and the possibility for collaboration. It will be an Academic Dragon’s Den! Senior researchers interested in participating and looking for graduate students should also contact the organizers.
