Limited-Term Appointment First-Year Course Instructor
The Department of Earth Sciences at Â鶹´«Ã½ invites applications for a 10 month limited term position as an Instructor beginning August 1, 2016. The successful applicant will teach ERTH/GEOG 1030.03 Introduction to Physical Geography (Fall and Winter term), ERTH 1080 Geology 1 (Fall term) as well as the Integrated Science Program courses SCIE 1505X (Fall term)/SCIE 1505Y (Winter term). In addition, the appointee will coordinate and supervise teaching assistants (TAs) for ERTH/GEOG 1030.03 and SCIE 1505X/SCIE 1505Y, and work with the first year coordinator as needed in supervising TAs for ERTH 1080.Â
Minimum qualifications include an M.Sc. (or equivalent) in an Earth Sciences-related discipline (e.g., Geography, Geology), prior teaching experience and willingness to plan and supervise field trips for students.
The application deadline is 16 June 2016 for an anticipated start date of 1st of August 2016.
