WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 2280.03/CANA 2280.03, African Nova Scotian History, a second-year class scheduled for the Winter Term of the 2016-2017 academic year, 1 January to 30 April 2017, which explores the Black community of Nova Scotia, from its early origins to the present day.Ìý Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 15:35-16:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class, and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ìý Candidates must possess a PhD in History or its equivalent, or be registered in a PhD programme and have demonstrated excellence in teaching African-Canadian history.Ìý Please apply in writing, with a copy of your curriculum vitae to:
