POSITION: Sessional Lecturer (2 positions)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Health Administration
PAY RATE: According to CUPE Contract
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Sessional Lecturer will teach a one-half credit course, HESA 4000, Canadian Health Care Delivery System, during the fall term (September to December 2017), in the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management and the Diploma in Health Services Administration programs. Responsibilities include: updating course content, planning and directing class via 鶹ý’s e-learning system, as well as external course work, marking assignments and provide tutorial support to students as required. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Master degree in health administration with expertise in epidemiology or quantitative methods, several years relevant work experience, and knowledge of e-learning.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Sessional Lecturer will teach a one-half credit, graduate-level course, “HESA 6340, Human Resources in Health Care”, in the Master of Health Administration program during the fall term (September - December 2017). Responsibilities include the development, delivery and management of: a) course lectures; b) classroom and field-based (if applicable) learning activities; c) course assignments, tests and examinations as applicable; and e) tutorial support as required. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course and reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: a) Graduate degree in administration or management (MHA, MBA, PhD) from a recognized, accredited university; b) Formal training and/or professional experience in the healthcare sector, specifically in the speciality of Health Human Resource; c) previous graduate-level teaching experience; and d) extensive and progressive professional experience with human resource management in both the private and public sectors.

Responsibilities include: planning and directing class room based activities as well as external course work, marking assignments and provide tutorial support to students as required. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Juris Doctor (JD) and a Masters degree in health administration required as well as relevant teaching experience in problem-based learning.
