WORK ASSIGNMENT: ÌýÌýAs the Forrest Fitness Attendant, you will be responsible for overseeing Room 415 during Forrest Fitness hours in a professional manner, as well as set-up and clean-up of Room 415 for the Forrest Fitness program.Ìý Your duties may include but not limited to:
- During the 15 minutes prior to Forrest Fitness hours ensure the room is organized appropriately and exercise equipment is in proper working order
- Open windows and turn on fans as required
- Make sure appropriate cleaning supplies are available for participants to use on equipment
- Check participants sign-in when they arrive, and sign-out when they leave
- Monitor the safe use of equipment by participants, and instruct participants how to use equipment properly if required.Ìý This position is not responsible for and should not provide to participants exercise routines/prescriptions and/or advice on how to exercise with or without a given condition.Ìý
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment for participants
- Conduct CPR & First aid if required, and complete appropriate related paperwork
- Straighten up Room 415 and clean equipment as necessary after Forrest Fitness use
- Close windows, turn off fans and lights, and lock door when Forrest Fitness has finished
- Ensure surveys are completed by participants as required
- Communicate to Forrest Fitness project leader any issues which may arise during Forrest Fitness (i.e.: equipment damage, participant complaints, participant safety issues, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Current Â鶹´«Ã½ student with up to date CPR and First Aid training.Ìý Good interpersonal skills, including strong communication skills and a positive attitude.Ìý A background in general health and fitness, and experience with fitness equipment is an asset.Ìý
