The Faculty of Dentistry, Â鶹´«Ã½, is seeking applications for the position of Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies. The position is for a 5-year appointment that will commence March 1, 2021. ​
The role of the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies is to provide leadership in and administration of research within the Faculty of Dentistry, management of the Research. Development Office to ensure effective use of the Faculty's resources in supporting research and graduate programs, as well as leading the Faculty in developing, managing and maintaining Faculty and University goals related to graduate studies. As a member of the senior leadership team in the Faculty of Dentistry, the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies plays an active and central role in faculty wide decision-making, operational planning and strategy setting.
They support all forms of scholarly endeavor within the Faculty of Dentistry, collaborate with external stakeholders and liaise with the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The successful applicant must possess a PhD or DDS with demonstrated excellence in oral health research, education and graduate student supervision. They must be able to demonstrate a commitment to research excellence, graduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. The successful applicant will be a person with an appreciation for scholarly activity in all its forms, and
the ability to garner respect and confidence of faculty across diverse disciplines. They must be a skilled communicator, networker, partner and community builder who can engage with and earn the trust, confidence and respect of governments, industry partners, and internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring visionary with a track record of productive research and academic leadership experience.
