Each year, Â鶹´«Ã½ recognizes a workplace whose practices promote and support employee health, engagement, and well-being. Each nomination showcases activities along seven dimensions of wellness: physical, mental, social, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and workload management.

This year's winner is the Faculty of Computer Science. Having kickstarted their efforts through a Workplace Wellness Grant, wellness is becoming an integrated aspect of the operations of the Faculty. The selection committee praised both their event-based activities that bring the group together in various (and virtual) ways and their supportive workplace climate.  Events included fitness opportunities and group lunches and celebrations.  Their workplace aspects include a wellness newsletter, a popular wellness channel on MS Teams, a "good news" email address and surveys to seek input and gauge impact.  They are pushing themselves further by undertaking more formal charitable contributions, policy development and workplace advocacy.

Nominator and FCS Wellness Committee Chair, Heather Elliott, states in their submission that "the initiatives led by our Committee are organized into three main goals – community engagement, health and wellness promotion, and events and activities, with fostering a culture of belonging as a core part of the work of the Committee."

Computer Science will be recognized with a framed certificate and will be added to the Healthy Workplace Award trophy, which they can display until next year's selection process.
