The Human Resources department is saddened by the recent passing of Lindie Colp-Rutley on May 1, 2024, at the age of 57.
Lindie began her career at Â鶹´«Ã½ in 1999 and held numerous positions over her 25-year career. She started her career in Human Resources before moving to Institutional Analysis in 2007. In 2011 she transitioned again to the Office of Human Rights and Equity Services before returning home to HR in 2017 to work in the Data Analysis and System Management team where she became the Manager of that unit.
Lindie was a wealth of knowledge on all data related things at Dal. Her institutional knowledge went beyond what could be housed in the Banner system and if she was not the individual running the reports she would often be called upon to validate the information as Lindie intrinsically knew the quirky little things about Dal data that most didn’t. In addition to being a wealth of knowledge, Lindie was an exceptional colleague and supervisor, always acting with kindness and a sense of humour.
Lindie was a proud graduate of Â鶹´«Ã½ (B. Com) and also held an MA (Economics) from the University of Victoria.
Lindie was a remarkable individual and will be missed by all her colleagues in Human Resources and by all of those who knew her. Lindie is survived by her husband Ken and daughters, Michaela and Stella.
