The is a web-based application that provides researchers with a single, common approach to gathering CV information required by a network of federal, provincial and non-profit research funding organizations.Â
Message from The CCV Support team
To improve the security of our systems and protect the privacy of users, the granting councils will be implementing multifactor authentication in the Canadian Common CV (CCV) in March 2025. Multifactor authentication uses two methods to verify the identity of a user before they are given access to the CCV.
The multifactor authentication process will be triggered when a user signs in to the CCV. To access the application, users will be required to enter a code that is sent to the email address connected to their CCV account profile. Should their session be timed out after 30 minutes of inactivity, users will need to re-authenticate themselves.
It is important that everyone with a CCV account double-checks that they have access to the email address connected to their account profile before March 2025. This will ensure a smooth sign-in process and minimize the need for assistance from the Contact Centre.
As well, we ask that institutions ensure that the email address no-reply@ccv-cvc.ca, which will send the verification code for users to log in, is marked safe so that emails are not caught in spam filters or end up in junk folders. This can be done by adding the email address to your organization’s email whitelist, approved sender list or spam filter exceptions.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Contact Centre at support-soutien@cihr-irsc.gc.ca.
