Program Status

Length of Program
The MI degree is a two-year full-time course of study; it can also be completed part-time over a maximum of 7 years. The MI degree is awarded upon satisfactory completion of 15 half-credit courses (45 credit hours) and the non-credit Practicum.
Course Overload Registering for more than four courses per term is considered 鈥渙verloading鈥�. Students wishing to register for more than four courses per term are required to obtain the permission of the Director (sandra.toze@dal.ca).
Full-time Registering for a minimum of 3 half-credit courses in a single term is considered "full-time".聽
Part-time Registering for less than 3 half-credit courses in a single term is considered "part-time". Courses are selected in consultation with the MI Program Manager (inform@dal.ca).听
SSGS

A student who is not registered in a graduate program but is taking graduate classes is a Special Student-Graduate Studies. SSGS students may take a maximum of two full-credit classes (four half classes).
