Program Status

Length of Program
The MI degree is a two-year full-time course of study; it can also be completed part-time over a maximum of 7 years. The MI degree is awarded upon satisfactory completion of 15 half-credit courses (45 credit hours) and the non-credit Practicum.
Course Overload Registering for more than four courses per term is considered “overloading”. Students wishing to register for more than four courses per term are required to obtain the permission of the Director (sandra.toze@dal.ca).
Full-time Registering for a minimum of 3 half-credit courses in a single term is considered "full-time". 
Part-time Registering for less than 3 half-credit courses in a single term is considered "part-time". Courses are selected in consultation with the MI Program Manager (inform@dal.ca).
SSGS

A student who is not registered in a graduate program but is taking graduate classes is a Special Student-Graduate Studies. SSGS students may take a maximum of two full-credit classes (four half classes).
