Who can apply

Bachelor of Engineering students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply to the co-op program:

  • Has a cumulative GPA of at least 2.3
  • Will have completed the Diploma in Engineering by August 30
  • Has at least four study terms remaining in their program
  • Is eligible to work in Canada (international students with a valid study permit must apply for a co-op work permit)
  • Is proficient in oral and written English
  • Is motivated and capable of handling the extra workload of participating in a job competition while carrying a full course load

When to apply

Engineering students apply 8 months prior to the first work term, which is from May to August.

How to apply

Register for the Online Co-op Orientation Course (ENGI 8890) by mid-September.

How to be admitted

  • Complete the Online Co-op Orientation Course (ENGI 8890) by mid-December. Course access instructions will be emailed to you by the end of September. 
  • Obtain the Diploma in Engineering by August 30
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.3 as of August 30
