Study Summary:

This qualitative study is looking to聽understand聽the perceived impact of COVID-19 on聽Nova Scotian primary care providers聽(PCPs, 聽e.g.聽nurse practitioners, physicians, social workers, pharmacists, family practice nurses, allied health professionals) and their聽capacity to manage and respond聽to this global pandemic.聽Specifically, we would like to understand the聽perceived聽impact of COVID-19 on the Nova Scotian health system and聽PCP聽capacity to manage and respond; how PCPs access, share, and 聽disseminate COVID-related information; and how COVID-19 is directly impacting Nova Scotia聽PCPs.聽Learnings from this study聽have the opportunity to聽inform聽PCPs and聽local and provincial government agencies聽of what is happening to Primary Health Care within the field of primary care聽during a pandemic. This information will also contribute to future work聽regarding聽health system and services鈥櫬爌lanning,聽preparedness,聽and education about the聽virus.聽
