(2025 Fall) SRES Entrance Scholarships
Four $15,000 MES entrance scholarships are available to support outstanding MES applicants who start their program September 2025.
- Two of these scholarships are generously funded by the Godsoe family and are available to Canadian or Permanent Resident MES applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to community service. Visit hereÌýfor more information about how to apply to the Godsoe scholarship.
- Two of these entrance scholarships are generously funded by the Ward family and are available to Canadian, Permanent Resident, or International MES applicants; no additional application materials are required to apply for the Ward scholarships.

Faculty of Graduate Studies Funding
The Faculty of Graduate Studies has a number of graduate scholarships and bursaries available to Master’s students, applied to through theÌýHarmonized Scholarship Process.
The Harmonized Scholarship Process allows for incoming and current students to apply for several Faculty of Graduate Studies-managed scholarships, most notably:
The Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship:Ìý$10,000 a year for two years entrance scholarship, available to domestic and international students in areas of priority, currently: ocean-related science and technology, natural resource sectors, life sciences, business sustainability, social innovation and clean technology including renewable energy systems.ÌýSee details.
Killam Predoctoral Scholarship Level 1:ÌýUp to $20,000 per year for up to two years, plus international tuition fees and relocation allowance, if applicable. Â鶹´«Ã½ awards Killam Predoctoral Scholarships on a competitive basis to outstanding graduate students in thesis-based programs (Master's or Doctoral level) in any discipline in the sciences, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. Candidates are selected from the Harmonized Scholarship Process based on departmental support and the results of the university-level review process.ÌýSee details.Ìý
