Where did the idea for One to One Wellness come from?

I recognized a gap when it comes to personalized, holistic care for those experiencing chronic pain or complex health conditions. After years of working with patients in various settings, I saw that many people with chronic pain and complex conditions weren’t receiving the individualized support they needed. When I took over One to One Wellness, I set out to expand its services and continue offering a space where clients could receive one-on-one attention and access an interdisciplinary approach to health that focuses on both physical and mental well-being. The goal was to combine evidence-based practices with compassionate care to truly make a difference in people's lives.

How did Dal prepare you for becoming a business owner?

Â鶹´«Ã½ provided a solid academic foundation and an environment that fostered both critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills. The diverse curriculum and exposure to various disciplines helped me build a mindset that's crucial for running a business — especially one like One to One Wellness. Beyond academics, networking opportunities with fellow students, faculty, and alumni also played a role in building confidence as I transitioned into entrepreneurship.

What is your favourite part of owning/operating One to One Wellness?

Seeing the direct impact we have on our clients' lives. Being able to offer personalized care and witnessing people regain their mobility, manage their pain more effectively, and lead healthier lives is incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, I enjoy the flexibility of owning a business, allowing for creativity in how we shape our programs and services to fit our clients' needs.

What is your favourite memory of Dal?

The collaborative spirit. Working alongside students from different programs helped me appreciate the value of teamwork, which is something I apply daily at One to One Wellness. Those experiences also pushed me out of my comfort zone and expanded my understanding of how to approach challenges from different perspectives.

What advice would you give to recent grads embarking on their career journey?

Embrace lifelong learning and be open to unexpected opportunities. Your career may not always follow a straight path, and that’s okay — each experience, even if it seems unrelated, can provide valuable lessons. Cultivate resilience and don’t be afraid to ask for help or mentorship from those around you. Building a network of like-minded individuals can lead to growth, both personally and professionally.
